Schecter Hellraiser C1...good playing and sounding guitar?

Re: Schecter Hellraiser C1...good playing and sounding guitar?

Schecter guitars are probably the best bang for your buck when it comes to import guitars. One thing I really love about them is that they look alot more expensive than they really are. :)

Mine is a really nice playing guitar. I waxed it with Mother's carnauba wax, and everyone asks me what it is.

+1 i have a C-1 Classic and i love it. they play pretty much the same just that i like passives more htan i like actives so i got the classic instead of the hellraiser. really nice guitar and i do recomend you get one. if you're looking for versatility though, go classic! if you just want heavy metal madness, go hellraiser.

The hellraiser is pretty nice. It has a good neck, weight, feel and playability. It feels like ESPs of similar shape. The tone is a little dark and the EMG 81 is aggressive but a little gritty, and inorganic. It rocks for metal as is, but I'd put a custom or JB in it to get a more versatile tone, and better tone in my opinion.

If you like EMG's and you like the thicker neck that Schecter offers, it's a very powerful sounding, well playing guitar.
