I'm looking at a C1 Classic on Ebay, which year did they put 3 volume/tone knobs? I know the latest one only has 2 knobs. thanks guys i need a quick response i have 6 hours to bid lol thx

Re: Schecter Question

I'm looking at a 2002 Schecter catalogue right now, and the C1 classic has three knobs (1 volume, two tones, I'm assuming)

In fact, I didn't know they'd changed it to 2 knobs? .....

EDIT: Are you sure it's a C1 classic? The regular C-1's are shown with 2 knobs as is the C-1 elite.

What is a MINT 2002 Schecter C1 Classic worth? One on ebay for 350. 8 hours away

Hmm......... dunno.

Nowadays, they cost 700 dollars new, so half price seems pretty good to me.

They've changed the body shape design a tiny bit and I believe the neck joint has also changed. Some people seem to prefer the older design.

I guess it depends how much it's worth to you, and how badly you want an older Schecter versus the updated version.

Re: Schecter Question

according to the blue book it books for $625... which seems way to high to me

Apparently, they're the exception to the "imports don't hold their value" rule.

They need to change the bottom cutaway. I'm used to playing Ibanez RGs, and when playing a friend's C-1 Classic, I kept bumping my hand when playing up high.

Re: Schecter Question

Sold for $450, not to me either. I said heck with it, it's a 2002, for that much money I could get a used 2004 for the same price. Funny cause the last 3 bids were all snipers and it made the guy who put down the high reserve pay another 50$. Not to mention shipping is another $25, indeed if it does make it without a scratch, or didnt have a scratch to begin with. Ah well, there'll be something else.

Re: Schecter Question

I have that guitar from 2002, which I bought in November. The redesigned it a few months after I bought mine. The construction is the same, but they added new colors. The biggest changes were going from 2vol. 1tone to 1vol. 1 tone and changing from a JB/59 to a JB/Jazz. If you could have got it for $350 that would have been a good deal. It's a moot point now of course.
