Gotta agree with you on this. Those fat merciless acoustic strings that screech when you slide your fingers across them...man! Brutal. Give me a hollowbody electric (like a 330 or Joe Pass) & I get all the "acoustic" out of my system; plus they're reasonably loud unplugged. But then, I'm a chronic bender (charter member of "Bender's Anonymous") so I've got to have smooth, thin strings or I'm lost.
But for you guys that love acoustics, more power to you. You're probably better players than I am.
