Scooped humbucker for HSS ?

I dont care for split coil sound, just a kind of cooped tone that may match better, SSL-1 in neck/middle. For those thinking on full shred that is certainly bright but is not a scooped pickup at all imho.

screamin Demon pairs well with single coils, despite the name. I also really liked the Fender Shawbucker1 and 2 in the bridge.

Yeah, I'd suggest a 59 or for more power, the Custom 5. The 59 will balance better with the SSL-1s, the C5 will rock more.

'59 is quite scooped. Maybe even a '59 neck in the bridge position - will be a little less powerful than the bridge model so will balance better with the singles and will be a touch more scooped.

Yup. Screamin' Demon matches really well with single-coils. If you want something with more than a 59 but less than a Custom 5, well, the answer there would be the 59/Custom Hybrid. I run that with the a Classic Stack Plus in the neck/middle, and it works great. I have the Screamin' Demon in a USA Peavey Predator I picked up off FB Marketplace last month. Stock neck and middle single-coils. Cut the pickguard to accommodate the humbucker.

Jazz bridge sounds like an interesting option, the neck one does have a single coil vibe to it already, it is just too hard to find in my experience.

It's just an A2P with an A5 mag. You don't have to actually find a Jazz bridge.

My votes would be
Jazz bridge - same output
Custom 5 - hotter, but same EQ profile

If you need it more scooped, try hex heads in a Custom 5. Puts it in between Custom 5 and Screamin' Demon / Full Shred territory

A Custom 5, other than being hotter, has more bass in its EQ than a Jazz. The Jazz has more treble than anything.
