SCORE for the Washburn MG project this morning!

The locking Washburn labeled Gotoh tuners used on these guitars are unique and quite different from the normal lockers you can buy from Gotoh.
Found a clean set on ebay for sale a couple of days ago and just grabbed them so now I will just slot the nut on the Washburn neck instead of using a Floyd nut.

I have this same set up on my other MG's with the Wilkersons and they are absolutely ROCK stable in tuning even really getting heavy with the trem.
Now if I can just find the right brass body inserts for the pickup direct mounting I am in business with this one once I get the body finished.
These body's were routed from the factory for specific brass inserts that were pressed into these holes in the pickup routs, anybody here got an idea what these are and where I can find a set? I absolutely don't want to use mount rings on this one.

This is the system used for these guitars but so far can not find a way to get my hands on it>
If any one has a contact for a supplier let me know.

Depending on the size, Home Depot or Lowes has those brass inserts. I used some large (1/4-20) ones to mount the speaker on my 18 Watter clone. Not sure they'll have them small enough, though.

Edit: Looks like they have them down to 6-32: Link

Thats a cool body! Looks like the Hamer Steve Stevens model with the slant pups. I love the attention to detail when a co uses the inserts for the screw holes on the cavities and all. All high dollar axes should have them IMO. Anxious to see how this comes out
