Screamin' Demon for my PT?

I may be driving y'all nuts with my questions.....

Still trying to decide which Duncan to buy for my Schecter PT with a Jazz neck pup.

Want: Clear treble (bright is good), subdued mids and full bass. Want vintage-ish outpur for picking dynamics.

Kind of narrowed down to the '59 or maybe the Screamin' Demon.

Re: Screamin' Demon for my PT?

For subdued mids, go with the '59. The Screamin Demon has everything you're looking for but subdued mids. Its mids kinda growl.

Re: Screamin' Demon for my PT?

No where near a JB.

I really dig the Demon for that reason. No matter what you throw at it, it stays clear and tight.

Re: Screamin' Demon for my PT?

That sounds like what I am after. The JB sounds good at rock leads but not much else for me.

Re: Screamin' Demon for my PT?

Demon all the way !
and wiyh the two rows of screws you can adjust the bite to your need ( a lot of people change the allen for fillester )

The custom 5 is all bass and treeble without much mids : woofy in lows , scooped and thin treebles :15: .

Re: Screamin' Demon for my PT?

Is the Demon the right model for me? It's so hard to choose with all the choices. Kinda down to the '59, Demon or C5 now.......

Re: Screamin' Demon for my PT?

If you need to stick to the vintage output range, forget the C5. Out of the 59 and the Demon, I think that the Demon fits your description better.
