Screamin Demon set

"Calibrated" as in an underwound neck pickup and an overwound bridge pickup? No. They only offer a single variation on the Screamin' Demon wether you want to put it in the bridge or neck.

You could use dual Demons, but you'd have to adjust the neck pickup lower than the bridge pickup. It's doable. I've had dual DiMarzio PAF Pros before.

Or you could order something through the Custom Shop. Either an overwound Demon for the bridge or an underwound Demon for the neck. I'm sure they'd suggest you either try a Jazz or a FS-N in the neck, though.

Can I get a Screamin Demon calibrated set with nickel covers?

yes, but only from the custom shop since, as others have said, the demon is a single pup without neck/bridge versions. also, youd obviously lose the ability to adjust one set of pole pieces

Would an A2 in a neck SD would make it a bit less powerful?

Asking because I'm looking for a Custom Custom in the bridge of my Ibanez SZ520 and I already have a Screamin Demon on hand.

Yes, as would an A3.
You can make a demon set with a regular one in the neck (i like it there) and a Demon A8 bridge (never tried that one myself).
in a double demon guitar I tried a double thick A5 Demon in the bridge, but i didn't like the increases lowend that came with it.

I already tried an A8 on my SD and it was not what I was looking for in that guitar. I have an A2 on hand but don't have an A3.

I don't want to derail the thread but it can be useful for OP.

With the SH-11 the A2 might be the better fit, but i never tried it in the neck with anything but the stock magnet.
Might get muddy with the A2, but then it's also a pretty whimpy wind.
I did mag swap the SH-1 59s quite a bit, but not sure it translates 1 to 1 to the demon.

The Full Shred neck would probably pair really well with the regular Demon bridge. It's like a shreddier Jazz. You could put regular screws in one coil to make it aesthetically consistent with the Demon

Very good, need to try that!
why did that never cross my mind?

I have a regular SD in the neck with a JB2 in the bridge. Works great in a Charvel San Dimas.
