I've seen the phrase "Shop Floor Custom" around, but I'm not sure what it means.

A "Shop Floor Custom" is a custom order that could be made on the production floor rather than "made from scratch" by the custom shop.
They include mostly cosmetic style mods like colored bobbins, hardware or covers, It also includes single to 4 conductor or visa versa; no logo's,
long or short legs, etc. These orders take an extra two weeks to make and have slight upcharges.
However Screamin Demon "allen style" poles are an exception and not available as "shop floor customs".
That would be custom shop. The hex screws referred above on Invaders are different than used on the Screamin Demons.
Those allen screws are not readily available from us so the custom shop has to process those orders. They have gold and nickel allen screws.
I hope this makes sense.

Thanks for the clarity. Out of curiosity, does that mean the Invader poles wouldn't be a direct swap onto a Demon? Based on size issues, or screw pitch? Or is it simply availability/waiting for the supplier?

Those giant hex screws on the Invaders are exclusive to Invaders.

No, the Demon hex poles utilize the same #5-40 threads as the regular fillister head screws. The Invaders are larger, 10-32 threads.
