SD 59s or Add a Seth

I've got a Heritage H535 with SD 59s in both positions.

While I love the guitar, there's always been a feeling (tone wise) that there could be just a little bit more coming from it.

I play mostly blues and blues based rock, both clean and a little dirty too.

Would I be better off maybe putting a Seth in the bridge position and thus have a little bit broader pallete of tone to work with?

I'm going into Fenders, a Redplate, a Tweed, ect, but mostly blackface type amps.

Or should I just keep the two 59s for balanced reasons?

Maybe try some magnet swaps ? Aged A5s, A4, A2. An easy and cheap way to re-shape the tone, and any changes are reversible. If you don't have pickup covers, it's even possible to swap magnets without removing the strings.

I have a '59 neck and Seth bridge in my Epi Dot. The combo works OK together tonally, but the bridge always feels slightly underpowered in comparison to the neck. The Seth is a bit honkier sounding and more mid-rangey with less bass/highs.

+1. UOA5's & A2's will add warmth, mids, and rich dynamics. RC A4's are also a good choice to warm up an A5 PU.

Even with PU covers, you don't have to take off the strings to swap magnets, all you have to do is loosen them.
