SD 7 string pickups

I have been using SD 7 string pickups for a very long time but always wondered if they wind their 7 string versions of their pickups differently to compensate for the low B or if they just wind them the same as their 6 string counterparts. Anyone know?

if nothing else the would have to compensate for the larger bobbin

I've read the product descriptions on a couple of them and I think they are bit different.

Perhaps it's just the size of the coil for the extra string that makes the difference...

If a pickup has, say, 4,000 turns on a regular 6 string, there maybe 4,000 on the 7 but, because it's that little bit longer it may have the effect of deepening the tone.

This is just a guess.
