I have a SD liberator installed in my guitar and want to install a P94 T in bridge position. I had an SH4 in before and here the color code matches between the liberator and the pup. The P94 has the exact same colors of the different wires I.e: black red white green and bare - but they do not correspond with the SD SH4 do they? Can you tell me what colors (P94 T) correspond with the colors on the other pup (SD SH-4) ?

But does this apply to the P94 T - which is a P90 (single coil) in a humbucker size?
I mean there's no north and south part like say a Gibson Burstbucker etc. - does these colors still apply with the P94 single coil fashion?

That's what confusing me too. But it does in fact have that and how I connect it with the installed liberator is beyond me. Anyone with a suggestion?

I read this on another forum:
"For the P94, green and bare go to ground. The white and black leads are hot and ground, depending upon the phase relationship with the other pickup. (Try white to hot, black to ground. If the pickup is out of phase with the other pickup, reverse the white and black leads.)
If the pickup has a red lead, it is a dead lead, and can be clipped."
But what insert is "hot", "Ground" on the liberator? And is there 3 inserts that's is ground on the liberator? Can't you use this pup with a liberator or should 3 wires go into the same insert on the liberator? I'm confused!!

OK, the best place for Liberator info is this short blog post, which has links to several videos explaining exactly how it works. It really helped me with mine, as I got mine with no instructions before it was released to the public, and before I had ever heard of it.
