They have a wiring diagram up, if anyone is interested.

I see not many have replied to your question. You can absolutely bend on an Evertune. The bridge has 2 zones, one where it just holds the pitch and the other where it holds it kinda but allows you to bend. I HATE the Evertune because it sounds like shit. That's the benefit of Arium of Aristides: allows me to compare things very objectively. And, I HATE the Evertune.Interesting. Maybe borrowing some tech from Fishman Fluence?
P.S. I love everything about that guitar, but I'm wary of the Autotune bridge. Would it know when I'm doing a deep bend on a string? Just seems like unnecessary cost and complication. Has anyone tried one?
Thanks. I searched and found the Evertune website. That zone thang is a little weird. Probably not for me.I see not many have replied to your question. You can absolutely bend on an Evertune. They've done it. They have crafted the perfect advertisement. Never have I read a paragraph that said so little, yet managed to get me excited."At the core of MortalCoil are precision-wound high-density copper coils with optimized resistance, providing faster transient response and stronger pick attack than competing designs across all tunings. Our all-new preamp utilizes advanced audio op-amps that contribute gain, rich harmonic detail, and dynamic feel with extremely low distortion, while the efficient circuit design supports superior battery life for reliable performance on stage and in the studio."
What I'm getting from this is the MortalCoil is wound using copper and the preamp is made using convential widely available electrical components? They also confirm that their new preamp design infact does what a preamp is supposed to do. The only thing I'm getting from that report is that the pickups will be attacky.I'm definitely interested in these!

That's a lot of fluff, but I know SD puts in the legwork to ensure their products live up to the hype. Modern voice + single coil + JB/Jazz on tap sounds like they are trying to take the crown back from Fishman. I'm excited!
My big question is if the single coil voice eliminates 60 cycle hum. In EMG Dual Mode pickups, they do, in Fluence, they don't.
Thank you for reaching out, The neck pickup is a true split coil, so while technically susceptible to hum, that's never been a negative from anyone who's tested it.
The bridge pickup is a filter to get that tone and it's hum-cancelling.

Did Gemini write this?
100% AI marketing slop. But it's effective!
ESP has both EMG and Fluence pickups. Now also SD.I agree with you, but I don't know how much is worth arguing. There's only so many ways to tap/split/stack coils in a humbucker format and we all know the Fluence construction is very different from the traditional, wire-wrapped coil approach in most regards.
That said, just because the Mortal Coils are replacing the Fluence in ESP's lineup, that doesn't mean they're built similarly at all. It'll be interesting to learn what Duncan has done with the Mortal Coil set and if they've retained any preamp tech from their previous active technologies, like the Blackouts or Dualities.
It seems to me SD has left a lot on the table when it came to the potential for their active technologies. Also, who knows if these will remain exclusive to ESP or if we'll see other iterations at retail in the near future.
