Interesting. I think it had something to do with the guys demonstrating the boxes, but I think the demos sell the pedals short. If I were to have watched the Lava Box video and never actually played one 1st hand I never would have bought one based on that video.

I've been considering getting a Lava Box, actually, and was pretty disappointed in the demo.

Then I thought it over, and realized that streaming video is one of the absolute worst ways to demo gear. Everything is so compressed and mushy-sounding on a stream like that; I shouldn't expect to hear the sorts of nuances that make "good" gear worth owning.

Still gotta try it for myself, I guess. Now, if I could just FIND one. . .

I liked the Lava demo..just have to add some nice reverb. I think he rolled the tone pot a bit too much down on the guitar but I like the voicing of the pedal.

I still say those guys sold the pedal short. I had a hard time listening to anything they reviewed to be honest.

I'm pretty underwhelmed by these demos too...

Make me wanna hang myself, they're uhhh... not really making me want to rush out & try/buy a pedal. I know the TwinTube is much kooler then that...

Lavabox sounds icky here. Icky mud. Like a 2-ton wall of 'mush'.
