SD Texas Hot vs BKP Irish Tour

Looking at a replacement pickup set for my Squier Classic Vibe 60s Stratocaster.

I'm a fan of That Pedal Show on Youtube and think Mick's Strat tone is some of the best I've heard from a Strat, and he uses the Texas Hot pickups. That said, BKPs get a lot of rave reviews, I like what little I've heard from the Irish Tours, and they're actually cheaper than the Texas Hots.

Also, when I asked Mick he actually said he'd probably go with some BKPs or Custom Shop Strat pickups if he had to do it all over again.

So does anyone here have experience with both of these sets? If you've owned either, what did you like or not like about them?

His Texas Hot tones are great....

I was under the impression that the Irish Tours were kind of like the BKP version of Texas Specials. (Overwound plain enamel)

thats what the specs would tell you, yes. never tried the irish tour but they seem like they would be similar. the texas hots are aged a2 and vintage wind so the two sets will be quite different

I figured they were different. More curious as to how different they sound from each other than whether one is "better" than the other.
