Hi all, I need your guys help. I want to change the stock PU’s from my SV5470a (True Duo PU’s) and bought SD Jazz (neck), Custom Stack Plus (middle) and JB (bridge). I want to be able to coil split, also the stacked middle PU. The SV has a VLX91 5 way switch and I have a regular Alpha push pull volume pot. I can’t seem to figure out the switch... I want: volume up, all split and Down, all HB. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks in advance

You can’t split 3 pickups with one push pull. But you wouldn’t want to split the stack anyway. That will just make it weak and no longer noiseless.

Technically, you can. The 5-way routes either the neck or bridge red/white wire to the push/pull. But you're right about the stack, so not an issue here.

I assumed the OP meant splitting the middle pickup only for Positions 2 & 4 - to put its main coil in parallel with one of the coils from the neck or bridge pup.
In that case, that can be done with a 5 way superswitch and a diagram like this (note: the pickup color code used is Dimarzio's and not SD's, and the numerical order list on the right side is inversed, i.e. Position 1 really is bridge pup, not neck pup.
