Any recommendations? Looking for a tight and clear sound on distortion as well as clean. Think clear and piercing but not harsh. Thanks in advance.

Jazz neck sounds about right. The Dimarzio Air Norton is also very nice. Sounds kind of like a HIFI Jazz to me.

lol My gut reaction was Jazz neck or bridge. You want singing, I'd say go Jazz bridge. More snarl, still all the articulation.
