SD's into Jackson Randy Rhoads V

I am putting in JB's/Jazz pups in a Jackson Randy Rhoads Flying V (RR3). I can't seem to get the wiring right. Coming of the pickup, black is hot, red/white tied off together and the green and bare wire are the grounds. My research tells me that the Jackson is the same except the black and green wired are opposite colors (green hot and black ground. I wired it up accordingly and get nothing. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Can you give us a nice clear pic of the wiring? Are you getting any sound at all from either pickup? There could be lots of things. Check all your solder joins carefully. Did you accidentally bump one when you were soldering? It sounds like your wiring scheme is correct but the likely culprit is something in the execution. What I do always is work backwards and make sure all the joints are good.

black is hot, red & white should be soldered together and insulated so as not to touch anything else and green and bare should be grounded

if you have that correct then the problem is somewhere else. a detailed picture would help us trouble shoot

Re: SD's into Jackson Randy Rhoads V

Was there ever a solution to the original question, SD pups into a Jackson Rhoads? I am trying to do the same but into a Jackson Rhoads Minion and ran into the same issue as Dukes1986. The original wiring had one ground going to the volume pot and one "hot" going to the 3 way sector switch per pup.

from the SD website video, Red/White taped off, Green/Bare soldered to volume pot. the black "hot" should go to the selector switch just as the original shouldn't it? I did that, and get no sound (taping pup with screwdriver per SD video). So I tried black to the volume pot (as it shows in the video) no sound either.

link takes you to the SD wire diagram I have been using http://www.seymourduncan.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Tele_2H_3B_1V_1T.jpg.
the only obvious difference to me is the selector switch. The jackson has 5 tabes in a row and nothing on back whereas the diagram has 4 tabes front and back.

Thanks for any help.
