SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 5; Non-Strat/Tele Fenders

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 5; Non-Strat/Tele Fenders

I don't know. We could go with 5. It's light, but if this is what we have, it's what we have. I really thought some closet weird caster fans would come out and play.

Keep it open for a while longer. I am sure something more will show up.

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 5; Non-Strat/Tele Fenders

Not a Fender - Self-made guitar (Except for the neck, which is a USACustomGuitars neck)

Hand rubbed stain and 16 coats of clear lacquer. Notice the depth of sheen - pure gloss!

P-90 neck, Strat mid, & left hand Tele bridge.

Then a Warmoth strat-copy

Finally, Fender Mustang and Fender Jaguar

I also included my test bed for pickups on tis post

Take your pick (Or don’t use a pick)!

If this is still open, I'd like to submit Henrietta. MIJ Jaguar HH SE. I've added the Bigsby, Straplocks and DR Black Beauties. Currently my favorite guitar.

Modified Fender Lead I from '80 or '81. Just stripped and refinished in lacquer by yours truly. Was originally black on black with only the bridge pickup.

Can't help feeling that some of these smaller categories would be better amalgamated into a "Best of the Rest" category - it just needs to be clear up front on a) the categories that have already been run, and b) anything submitted that was eligible for a) won't be considered for inclusion.

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 5; Non-Strat/Tele Fenders

Is this one happening? :dunno:

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 5; Non-Strat/Tele Fenders

There are barely 9 entries. Perhaps this might NOT be happening??? :dunno:

Where is Astrozombie's Non Strat Fender entry?

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 5; Non-Strat/Tele Fenders

I got 5 right now. I'm thinking at least six to make it a game....

Still open

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 5; Non-Strat/Tele Fenders

Is this still open? If so, will a heavily modified Squier '51 count?:fingersx:

Neck and bridge are obviously NOT stock :naughty::fingersx::laugh2:

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 5; Non-Strat/Tele Fenders

If this is still open, I love weird Fender/Squiers! Here is my blue sparkle Super-sonic (now it has a fugly bucker in the bridge, but otherwise the same set-up). Has a p-rail neck and a full-shred int he picture. Wiring has two volumes with a on-off tone push-pull, and also a phase switch. Every piece of hardware has been upgraded (trem, block, claw, springs, tuners, wires, pickguard, trees...everything!). Jag-stang has a Fender Texas Special Neck and Screamin' Demon Bridge, with a weird mustang/jaguar custom wiring scheme. Also in the picture is my Squier M75. Now it has chrome Pearly Gates in the neck and a chrome Mean 90 in the bridge. It looks much better with the chrome covers and black speed knobs now.
