Yeah, that was a nice score. That's one that I can only envision selling if we needed money for food or something like that. It plays and sounds so great, and the floyd mod was done perfectly imo. I was very worried about that and the wacky way the locking nut was installed BEHIND the regular nut, lol. But it all works!

so , this is all a 'trust' thing right? Were supposed to just belive unquestioningly that some dude got his amazing Les Paul Std. from a Pawn Shop? I mean, I would like to see some reciepts personally. Like Reagan said; trust , but verify.
I'm only saying this cause i don't put much stock in Acemans rigged, weighted, self aggranziding popularity contests and cronyism appointments in the first place.

I was at the MIT Flea Market one fine day in April maybe 20 years ago, when I happened upon this flailed yet somehow unbeaten gem. The guy wanted $75 for it, and in the spirit of being at an open air flea market I talked him down to $70.

Nothing too pretty about this one, it had a huge chunk missing from the body that was crudely filled with bondo and painted black with a magic marker. But it plays so well that it was my main practice guitar for several years. And thanks for making me pull it out again!

Alright youse slackers just brought a new Pawn Shop prize home a few minuets ago. Where are the rest from youse guys??
Mr Potato is a guitar shop and custom builder in South Korea http://potato_guitar_shop.en.productscn.com/ . The guitar is a very well hand built neck through super Strat that is a KILLER player. Just picked it up toady at Cash America Pawn in Roebuck for a $100 bill + tax in the hard case!





And to remove all doubt on where it just came from.

Will post more once she is cleaned up and restrung.

My no name $125 metal guitar out of NW Louisiana. 1979 Kramer DMZ6000G This was a find from my GF who bought it as a Christmas present for me. She knows musicians are picky about instruments and told me before hand she bought me a guitar and it was a Kramer. I was sweet and told her Kramer makes nice guitars and I should love it. I opened it Christmas morning and was absolutely floored. I've never owned a nicer guitar in my life. This guitar started my Kramer collection.

My $120 1983 Kramer Pacer Imperial out of east Texas. $100 really, gave my bro $20 for picking it up for me. Buddy of mine was traveling to Dallas, he has about 6 pawn shops he hits on his way there. He called and said I'm holding a Kramer in my hand serial number XXXXX for $100, you want it? I'm pretty thankful he knows my love for Kramer guitar's. He's got a thing for MIM strats and I call him whenever I see one locally, paid off big.

Then my all original mint 1984 Destroyer,hate to even tell you what I paid for it. Hangin on the wall at my local pawn shop for $79.95. I said I'd pay $60. They said they wanted the tax on it so it was $65 and some change. Never let them think they have gold lol

Half my heard are pawn shop finds. 2 BC rich's, my Rick, LP, SG, 2 ESP's, all my basses, and my 77 Alvarez.

I've gotten several great guitars on eBay. This one stands out, though - minty Magnum Pro MIJ to Ibanez specs that I scored for $350 IIRC.
