SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 8; Gibson Non-Les Paul Shapes ENTRIES

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 8; Gibson Non-Les Paul Shapes ENTRIES

Too nice and too expensive. It was just sitting in the case. Also, all my other necks are slim and I didn't enjoy playing it as much with the fat neck. Figured I'd unload it while the 2013's were still new and hot and I bought an '01 Classic to replace it.

Sorry it didn't work out.

Pic of teh Classic?

Its getting a fret polish and zebra WCR's at the moment, I should have it back this weekend and will posit it up then.

No can compete with Karp, or TC's V... or that sparkly green lefty.

Not a huge SG fan but this one rocks...

My entry....a lefty 85 SG. Still Norlin, with the o/s headstock, shallow bevels (allowing the neck pickup to sit in the better position), the block inlays and the curious switch/output jack positioning.

Must have had a different bridge on there at some stage.....lots of small holes filled on both the body and headstock.
Fitted with a C/jazz bridge and a 59/jazz neck p/ups.

I'm curious, but is this category ever going to drawer a conclusion?

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 8; Gibson Non-Les Paul Shapes ENTRIES

It really looks like the SG's need their own category.

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 8; Gibson Non-Les Paul Shapes ENTRIES

perhaps. Either way this is CLOSED!

Just means an SG win is likely....
