I got to thinking. Where will I enter this one?

I'll allow it.

I think double cuts - much like P-90's should fly...

Re: The ULTIMATE SDUG Les Paul COPY preliminaries

The Schulte is the real deal, y'all. That one gets my vote.

Re: The ULTIMATE SDUG Les Paul COPY preliminaries

The guitar was made by Antoniotsai, a guy that sells on ebay. After I got it I had to do a TON of work on it, but now its actually a pretty good player... The only thing that is stock now is the neck and body, it has several hundred pieces of MOP and Abalone inlay. I need to take some better pics soon but these will do for now. Here is "The Screamin' Chicken" Lol...

Right on! The only way I could consider voting otherwise(nothing against the other entries, they're all cool guitars!), is if Brent shows up with an H150. I know he sells a lot of his guitars, as was mentioned earlier, but I'm sure he still has at least one.

Come on, Brent! Do you still have the Skolnick?

Not really a serious contender, but I want to keep this thread sexed up (damn iPhone, I need a better camera):

What work did you have to do on it? How much was it from Ebay?

Re: The ULTIMATE SDUG Les Paul COPY preliminaries

Even without one of my three there are 10 Really good ones so far were I doing this. We need more entries. :headbang:

Thanks Ace, some great looking guitars posted in the last month. :cool2:

I got the guitar for $250 but shipping from Vietnam was $135, so $385 was the total. Pretty much all the parts on the guitar were junk (wish I would have known before I bought it but I'm happy with it now). I replaced all the wiring, CTS pots, Mojo caps, Gibson Switch, Switchcraft jack, wired with vintage style cloth wire. New set of GFS Fat Paf pup's, new nut, and a ton of work on the frets. I should of just had it refretted though so I'll probably have that done before too long. I don't remember if I changed any hardware or not. Lol

Re: The ULTIMATE SDUG Les Paul COPY preliminaries

I love those Edwards!! the one with the p90s is tasty and Id LOve to play a Carvin single! Gorgeous tops avail on carvins.. ( I should post a pic of my SC90 that I had)

Here are a couple more pics of my Soltero.. Unfortunately, I dont have means to get any better pics..

If I had to submit Just one, Id guess Id go with the Burny.. Its both a looker and a really amazing LP.. I need to get some pics of it with the new pups in it. Ill try and toss up a couple more pics of her. I was REALLY tempted not to take the ZW set out cuz it kicked so much butt.. Absolutely HUGE... But I wanted a more organic sound..

In that case, here's my GMP Doublecut:

Sadly, for the purposes of this thread anyway, it also features a 25.5" scale.

Re: The ULTIMATE SDUG Les Paul COPY preliminaries

AzCat is a man after my (non-gibby) heart. I REALLY like the doublecut but those flames on the natural top of the singlecut is za titz!!!

Love the gold Carvin and, ofcourse, the white Burny too!!!
I am not sure about the Dean though, too sexy for a LP :D

Re: The ULTIMATE SDUG Les Paul COPY preliminaries

Definitely agree with you guys, the trans-orange flames over natural flame maple is one of my all time favorite guitar finishes.

This one I very much love because it just absolutely wails, a Gretsch Malcolm Young sig:

It doesn't get much more rock 'n roll than that in my opinion. :D

Re: The ULTIMATE SDUG Les Paul COPY preliminaries

Ok, A LOT of great axes here but I gotta ask, is the Soltero really pushing it?

I mean, aesthetically it's pretty much the only Dean I like plus I find it sexy as all heck in general :D

(BTW, congrats BloodRose!)
