SDUG Ultimate Axe - Category 9; Teles ENTRIES

Re: SDUG Ultimate Axe - Category 9; Teles ENTRIES

Whatever it is, its cool! Tell us more.

Thanks!

One-piece Honduran Mahogany body, Warmoth Fatback Flying V neck, Lollar Special T pickup, Glendale bridge. The wiring is based on an old '50s Gibson BR-9 Lap Steel I had once upon a time. I made the body and pickguard and did the finish myself - way back in '96. My lame attempt at making a Music Man Albert Lee model kinda thing.

I did screw up the bridge spacing on it - the bridge is about 1/4" too close to the neck. If I ever tear this thing apart again I'm going to reseat it and do it proper. It intonates perfectly, just looks wonky.

It's almost as heavy as a LP - about 8.5 lbs - but it will sustain for a week even with 9s on it. I got that part right at least. lol

A Duncan guitar, owned by a Duncan employee, on a Duncan forum = automatic win.

Next poll please.
