SDUG Ultimate Axe - Semi Finals Group 2 Poll

After 20 or so grueling rounds of Entry, Selection, and Polls, it is finally here! The SDUG Ultimate Axe Playoff Rounds !!!!!

These are the best of the best that SDUG has to offer (at least this season....), selected by YOU. And now that the winners from each category have been chosen, they will be going head to head for the final honor of being the SDUG Ultimate Axe, and join the previous winners.

This year, Seymour Duncan's own Scott Olsen will be providing a prize to the winner (even though we know you are really in it for the honor and bragging rights…). And remember - there are no real losers. Every one of these guitars is pure awesome, and I'd love to own any one of them.

But in the end, there can be ONLY one! (Shameless Highlander riff) So - on with Semi-Finals. There will be four polls, of five guitars. Good luck!

No Strat love? Guys....seriously? I hate Paisley AND Strats and that thing is just balls to the wall awesome.

I love them all. In my mind it comes down to if you could walk away with only one of those guitars which would it be? For me it is the Hamer.

This is a tough one, I am FAR from a Gibson guys and still there are Les Pauls and an Explorer that I'd GAS pretty hard over. Honestly can't decide...

I'm just honored that my Les Paul has been included... I sweated and busted my a&$ one summer in a boatyard saving money up for a guitar, and when I was 17 saved up $400 to buy that back in 1989.. It's been torn apart, re wired, dozens of pickups, refinished many times over the years, when I couldn't afford a second guitar... Now I have 12. It's now got an EVH Wolfgang in the bridge and a Slash neck

I refinished it many years ago to look like Slash's AFD Les Paul, while copying the staining process used on Paul Reed Smith's Signature Series from a catalogue I had.. It took forever but since I was jobless I had all the time in the world

For historic value, both mine and Slash's clown burst he toured with during AFD are both 1986 Factory Second Les Pauls

Thanks for the nod, tho' it's obvious that my paisley Strat doesn't hold a candle here.

FWIW, I will be converting it to either HH (Seths) or three Antiquity or Chris Klein Firebird pickups in the future.
