I am well aware that my walnut Warmoth hardtail super has no chance in this competition!
:banghead:
But what counts is trying? No?
By the way, mine believes in the world peace!

Aceman, this may be the hardest one to choose yet! These are some unbelievable axes. Wow.
Here's the WINNER!
Everyone else may as well just pull their entries out of the contest, eh? :nana:

Hey, no using divine intervention to rig the contest.. :cool2:
Recessed Wilkinson and a single Duncan Distortion.... it's plenty super for me. Fender neck on a one-piece mahogany body from Warmoth. It may not have a floyd, but I can still pull up on the bar, it stays in tune, and I can change the strings and tune up 4 times faster than a floyd.

All I can say is that they're awesome. They respond incredibly well when you hit the strings. They're very clear and makes it sound like you have room to make chords without getting muddy and makes your vibrato sound defined. It's fairly high output like a JB. I would say that there's kind of a bright edge to them but this guitar has an ash body so that might be what gives it the sizzle. I think the neck pickup is particularly awesome.
The tone is subjective, but I think when you play those pickups besides other brands, you can tell there's a difference in how they respond. They're just really good pickups. I have a nice variety of Seymour Duncan and Dimarzio pickups to compare with and I would say that these have a response close to how Dimarzios respond. Even better are the SuperRock III's which come with the really expensive models. I played several of those guitars when I was in Japan and those pickups are even better. They're less grainy and a little more low mids.
I can't find any official info on what magnets are in them but they're apparently alnico 5. I want to try alnico 2 magnets in them but I'm afraid of messing them up trying to take them apart.
That's quite the turnout, the Jap Schecter? That blue quilt Jackson, man gorgeous (but a Jackson without a Floyd? Sacrilege!!! :cool2![]()
That's sweet! ^
But damn man, how's your low E sound on that bridge pup? Spacing's quite a bit off.
It might just look like that because of the angle of the picture.
