A Ficus
some of ya'll may remember when she showed up
a MF Second blem non working
was called a Daphne Blue , but is so Seafoam Green
then we rotted her out for her new life
as test beater
with the radio shack knobs
she was measured and and gutted
this week she gets her makeover
she's got a JB/Jazz from Mr Barbee , (Thanks Ray)
and some locking tuners
roller trees and nut
and before someone mentions it, yes the nut is slanted
but look how the bridge intonated
all Wilkerson with roller saddles
and a push in arm
and here is the control layout I was fretting over last month
thats a 1 Meg linear Volume
and a 500k Audio tone with a .022 ceramic cap
a superswitch
bridge
bridge + neck / in series
bridge + neck
bridge + neck / OOP / in series
neck
and two on-off-on minis to give me
all the triple-shot selections except parallel coils
the Action is still a bit high
I think I am gonna have to chisel out the rest of that rosewood to let it set on down
while I got the strings off tomorrow
I may put in a treble bleed
Caution
to gouge out the nut area
I drew a line where the front of the new nut would be
because the strings broke right in front of the plastic nut
and break on the center of the rollers
and tilted the treble side closer a bit
took a Back Pull Saw, like the one in a miter box
scored the pencil line down to depth
chisel roughed out the rosewood
then with a fine flat bastard file leveled the shelf
I will probably use the same technique to lower the nut
