Sell me a chorus

The Boss BF-2 I have is not gonna cut it. It does the chorus thing well, but it also cuts all the bottom end out of my tone. Drag.
Looking for something - oh boy, guitarist clichée incoming - warm and organic. Looked at a pretty well received CE-2 clone, but that still sounds pretty harsh to me.
So, suggestions? Price cap is, let's say €180/$210.

Maybe try a real CE-2? You should be able to get an MIJ example or the new Waza for $200 or less. I used to own a clone, and my real CE-2 is better in every way.

Re: Sell me a chorus

Visual Sound is now Truetone. If you could use a delay also, I'd like to suggest the H20 V3. This pedal is a noticeable improvement over the V1 and V2 versions of the pedal.

Re: Sell me a chorus

I have the Trutone H2O V3, the Chorus side is analog and is very nice sounding in my opinion. I have never compared it against the Boss Waza Chorus (CE-1 and CE-2 clone) so I can only compare against digital chorus I have tried before and this one does not get overly bright. The H2O is very tweak-able, can go from a very soft to a very rich chorus without being too bright (tone pot to further fine tune), up to a fast Leslie-kind-of sound for those who like that for jazz. Can be configured buffered or true bypass as needed. It cost me less than buying a pair of pedals for the same effects and the button layout allows me to use them just the way I need.

EHX Small Clone, if you want something simpler. Definitely warm and organic, though not that tweakable or fancy.

If you only want a chorus, this:

And yes - while they put all the bells and whistles on the V3, I'm a V2 fan personally. And many swear by the original V1. And of corse, the chorus itself was so popular that...

And honestly - not the most CE-2 of all CE-2's, but I have an really like my Mooer Ensemble King.

Simple, easy and tasty CE-2 style.

Re: Sell me a chorus

Thanks for all the input, guys. I'll try to try them all out. Pedal board real estate is ofc an issue, as always. Actaully, there's plenty of space on it on paper, but that damn EVH footswitch just eats up half of it. Grumble, grumble..

Re: Sell me a chorus

Have both the H20 V2 and V3. While I admit, many people like the V2, sound wise, to me, the V3 is a better sounding pedal. And with the V3, you can use the chorus and delay as separate effects.

Also I agree with an earlier post "IMENATOR - I have the Trutone H2O V3, the Chorus side is analog and is very nice sounding in my opinion. Re: Sell me a chorus

The Waza CE-2 seems like the safest bet.

I had a chance to try a Waza CE-2 on Saturday. My original CE-2 sounds better, but that pedal is "special". I've owned a few other CE-2s, and none of them could touch this one. That being said, the Waza sounded as good or better than most CE-2s I've come across and I hear the new ones are actually consistent.

Re: Sell me a chorus

Get an Analogman Chorus with the Deep Switch

or...

a Walrus Audio Julia.

These, to me, are the 2 best analog chorus pedals I've ever heard.

Re: Sell me a chorus

I was curious about the Julia but most sound clips I've herad, its warbly as all hell. Not sure if its because everybody insists on using the vibrato at the same time or something.
