selling my clear Les Paul

up for sale is my (correction) #8 of #12 clear acryllic Dillion LP. there were 12 made in 2003 by the Dillion company. heres a link with all the pictures.

hardshell case IS included, and the seymour duncan pickup in the bridge is negotiable. comes with certificate of authenticity signed by John Dillion (president of the company). im trying to get a clear picture of the serial number and "3 OF 12" inscribed on the back of the neck, but i can't get a clear shot. im asking $650 - or make me an offer!!

honestly, not bad like you've probably heard!! i mainly use it as my 70's/moderate gain kinda sound. it does fine with other stuff too, and if you down-tune its perfect. its got great snap, good clarity, and i think it sounds great clean!! i like a little brighter toned stuff - and this is why i bought it. its not going to sound like a gibson lp, its got its own sound. very urgent if that makes sense?? its bright, but ive got a C5 in there now. for my boogie, its great. tight bottom, big mids, and of course treble cut.

I've always thought plexiglass guitars were the coolest looking things! If I had the cash, I'd be taking that off your hands. Good luck with the sale.

tell you what, im looking right now to try and find something similar on youtube - otherwise, i'll ask my neighboor here to record me playing it. i think you'll all be surprised.

thanks!! they're deffinately attention grabbers. i've had them since 03-04 and still get people gawking at shows. everything from big grins to "thats the coolest f*cking guitar i've EVER SEEEENNNN!!" lol


something else i forgot to mention, if you dont see it on the pictures, it does have straplocks. sorry, but im not sending the part thats connected to the actual strap, as i just use 1-2 straps and switch out the guitar.

c'mon!! be the coolest kid on your block! you could own my clear guitar!!

here's a pretty good representation of the sound capabilites. i have have band practice tonight, so i'm gonna try and get a good video of how it sounds. then you can decide.

Can you use guitar polish to clean it, or just use windex? Seriously, that guitar is fn cool, man. Bump.

pckups in it now are C5/bridge, stock pickup neck. the stock bridge will be sold with the guitar, but it can be bargained for.

the original bridge was too thin and muddy (if that makes sense). the C5 gives it a HUGE kick in the low end compared to what it was. the scoop of the pickup, in my opinion, lets the guitar breath. the material kinda compresses it i think, and makes everything fight each other. the neck pickup is pretty clear. again, i tend to like brighter tones from my sound, so for the neck its either cleans or slash-esque leads - which i think it does very well. when i was playing my old solid state amps, id tend to use the neck all night, and set the amp to be a little brighter. but now with that C5 it sounds a lot better.

thickness, is i'd say 1.5-2 inches thick? theres a slight angle on the back for comfort i suppose. you can see it in the pics. thats how it came, i didnt mod it or anything. weight, ugghhh, lol. how about pretty darn!? lol. i remember thinking it was about the same as my buddies LP Standard. its heavey. i got one of those Kepur straps - i used to use nylon with leather ends and it actually streched the leather out. so i went to the kepur. *knock on wood* hasn't even come close to stretching it yet. like i said, it does come with the strap lock studs. and same as the pickups, those will be sent along with it upon purchase as well.

i generally use windex to clean it, lol.

alright, im puttin this baby up on ebay tomorrow night. if it doesn't go, im smashing it. lol, jk. but seriously, im putting it up on ebay tomorrow night. same price. same everything - case included, C5 bargained for, etc, etc. if you want it, act now. bc otherwise its goin there. and NOT for cheaper!!
