Sentient Neck with Distortion bridge? Will it work?

I was reading that the Sentient neck pup Is kind of a cross between a 59 and a jazz....I am looking for a neck pup to go with a distortion bridge in an all mahogany sg. Any body have any feed back on the Sentient as a neck used with a distortion ? Thanks

How bout a Black Winter neck with a distortion bridge? It would seem that the bw neck is more powerful than the distortion bridge?

black winter neck is not more powerful than distortion bridge... from what ik the black winter is like a slightly modified distortion.... u could probbaly mix them together well, the sentient also should pair decent with a black winter or distortion...
I recommend you go nazgul sentient or just black winter set...

Thanks for the reply. Yes. The reason I was considering distortion in the bridge is to keep somewhat of an "older school" sound in the bridge as I am thinking that the bw bridge is probably I am guessing strictily a modern metal type of sound?. I could be wrong there...

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Distortion/Jazz is quite a viable combo, so why not Distortion/Sentient?
