Seondary modeler

Hey,

I have a Line 6 AX2 212 that is in my rig with a tube power amp and cabinets and such.

I'm thinking about getting a second unit to hook up to my PA for when I have someone over to jam, and/or as a backup for gigs.

I like the AX2, but they're too big to get a second one, so I was thinking about a POD 2.0 or the original POD Pro. But then I got thinking of the V-Amp and the V-Amp Pro thinking that for occasional duty it might be a less expensive alternative.

Is the V-amp total crap or could it possibly be a good idea?

Can anyone think of any other possibilities?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Seondary modeler

I saw those, but I think that's more than I want to spend right now... I'm seeing Vamp Pros going for cheap on ebay...

Re: Seondary modeler

I cant imagine the V-amp sounding better than Line 6 gear, but I have heard some people swear by them, I say its probably cheap enough to give a try.......and let us know~!

Re: Seondary modeler

I have 2 of the AX2 212's. I also have a V Amp as well. The V Amp's sound just fine. They're nowhere near the AX2, but they're still good enough for someone else to jam through.

A Johnson J-Station off of e-Bay. I'm biased, but they're killer sounding and versatile.

Digitech, who made it into the GNX series. Cool, but not quite the same. And pricey.
