Re: series-split-parallel like BURNING
Unforunately, no one makes a 3-way push-pull. But with 2 push-pulls, you could still get all 3 options. The first switch could be down for series, up for parallel or single coil, and the second switch would be parallel/ single coil for the up position of the first switch (the down position would not be affected).
I will attempt to create a diagram with available keyboard symbols. And for simplicity's sake, I've used SD wire colors.
Black wire: hot (via switch or volume pot)
Green & bare: grounded
First switch: push-pull (down = series, up = single or parallel):
Ignore the dots; they're to make it all line up correctly:
to second switch<---0..0--->ground
.................................
.............................0..0<---white wire
...............................\ <-------lugs connected diagonally
.............................0..0<---red wire
Second switch: mini-toggle (down* = parallel, up* = single coil)
Only one pole of the switch is used:
0--->hot (same place as black wire)
0<---from first switch
0 (nothing)
*In relation to how the switch is shown in the diagram. For down to be single and up to be parallel, swap "hot" and "(nothing)" lugs.
I hope you can understand this. I would've simply drawn & posted a diagram, but I still don't have a scanner....
