Seth Lover Neck Pickup paired with ?

Anybody have a recommendation for a humbucker bridge pup that would pair nicely with a Seth Lover neck pickup in a Telecaster? Thanks

lots of options depending on what you want. i have a semi hollow tele with a seth neck and double screw a2 brobucker that is wonderful but there are lots of things that pair up well.

patb3, seth bridge, custom, 59b might be good too.

what sounds do you want?

Personally, I like either a pair of Seth's or a pair of 59's. I have only one humbucker guitar with a mixed set and that's a semi with a 59n and PG+b.

Thanks for your reply. Can't pinpoint the sound other than I really like the sound of the Seth neck pup. I would put one in the bridge but I don't want to route out that position to accommodate a full sized humbucker. Not sure that helps answer your question. Thanks again

Little 59 or Quarter Pound lead for tele.

Yes, I think routing out the bridge position at this point is above my pay grade.

lil 59 would be my suggestion unless you want to pay custom shop prices

I'm in a similar situation, but want an SH combo. I've heard the seth lover is great on teles, but I think I'll get a 59n and pair it with a Broadcaster bridge.

I have played a couple of different guitars with a lil' 59 and would never recommend one, but the Fender Custom Vintage Broadcaster bridge pickup in the Baja Tele is great.

I don't like the lil'59 because it sounds sterile, weak, uninteresting, and has none of that midrange character or sparkle of a single coil that I like. The full '59 is great, though. they are both completely different from one another.

I agree with that 100%. I swear by 59's and I really don't like lil'59's for the same reason. I had one in a Strat and never used it. Totally different animals those two. I like the SD Broadcaster and Fender's 62 RI PUP's for the bridge in Teles. Another favorite is Barden's Gatton PUP's but they are $$$$$!

Thanks everybody for their input. However, I'm still not sure what humbucker in the bridge would pair nicely with the SH-55n. I hear lots of nods for single coil preferences but I am really looking for humbuckers all around. Hope to hear from more of you. Thanks.

For a cheap alternative to those, check out Bill Lawrence's blade pickups, they are apparently quite close, but maybe a bit smoother than Bardens.
