Seth lover`s bridge companion

Im doing a guitar project for the summer and its going to be a 2 humbucker baby. Bridge and neck pickups. For the neck I`ve desided to put a seth lover but I cant deside on the bridge one. I want it to complement the seth lover and to be able to play rock blues jazzy tunes. Im going to put a booster on my guitar and when I want to play metal I will boost the signal to distort better so a high output is not really the issue here since I can always increase the gain of the pickup from the booster. All I need is a very versatile bridge pickup which sounds amazing when splitted and matches with the seth lover. Any suggestions?

Welcome! I think the Custom Custom. It's a 14K pickup so split it will still be a strong 7K single coil. And it's alnico 2, like the Seth Lover, so they sound great together. I use that combination in my Hamer Monoco...couldn't be happier with it. Lew

I heard the custom custom in the samples and I really liked the sound of it.Unless someone else says it is wrong and that is better im going after the custom custom

Re: Seth lover`s bridge companion

I'd vote for either a Custom Custom or Custom 5. I have a C-5/Seth nickel set in my 2001 LP Std. Prem Plus. The Seth has that nice Jazzy/bluesy tone, and the C-5 is a nicely balanced bridge pickup with full lows, neutral mids, and vintage highs, which is what I like for clean tones/split tones and the C-5 also excels at high gain.

If splitting is important to you, yeah, CC is the way to go. If you wanna keep your bridge in the PAF territory and o not care much about the split tone from the bridge, then PG is a great choice (4c wires, otherwise the clear winner for me would be an bridge antiquity hb) that you should not ignore.
