Seymor on my Pup

:smack: Why does Seymor have to put his name all over his new Pup.I have been useing SD pups for 30yrs when he worked out of a small shop (garage) He would rewind your pup for $15.00 Now you cant even get a reply from his servents or a email. I havn't bought a "new"pup yet,does anyone know if you can scrape the name OFF the Pup.And why cant I still get a coaxal single wire,If I want a single coil pup I will buy one .Seymor I love you guy,but man You seem to be getting like Fender .Too much. Please put the JB pup's back like they were.

first off spell mr duncans name right it is "SEYMOUR"
if you dont like the logo order one without it:6:
many like the fact that the name is on the pups,. i like to let people know that i use duncans and with the logo they DO!:bowdown:

i like the logo. when i cover my buckers, they will look like same ol buckers and not sd buckers. im gonna write "seemore dunkin" on my nickel covers so i can remember what kinda pups they are......joshin'

Actually, I think SD should logo his nickel covers like they do for the Duncan Designed units with nickel covers.

actually, there are no logos on vintage type pickups, but you can remove the logo fairly easily on the other stuff

I do like the clean look of no logo myself, but tone is what's important, bro

I just leave the logo on my JD, and it sounds fine indeed

Sorry Iam a mean "old Man"I just learned to use one of these computer things,But I am old school and I do not relate to well in this New Age where any thing thats over 10 yrs old is vintage and all the junk guitars that flood the market,and all the good guitars are in some guys hangerwith the autos and race horse,And All I ake is if you can sand the name SEYMOUR offSome how it wouldn't look right in my 67 SG Thats all

As was pointed out in your previous thread...it's extremely easy to remove the name from the pickup if it bothers you that much.

Like, less than 5 minutes - easy.

we'll take your word that you're Old School, and have been using Seymour's pickups for 30 years

don't mind us if we give you a little old fashioned ribbin', since this question gets asked every now and then ... it might even be answered on Seymour's Q & A on the main site ...

most of the vintage type pups you would use on a vintage SG are wound on the old Gibson Leesona, and don't have logos

however, there is a fairly easy solution ...
some folks have used some kinda chemical that takes the logo off pretty easily - I don't know what it is myself, but someone will come along and help you

Its a high-tech formula, sold under names like: Crest, Colgate, Aqua Fresh, Gleem . . .

Oh yeah, and Brasso.

I'm pretty sure the answer was in his previous post but...

You can remove the logo with any of the following products:
1. Brasso (probably the most popular method)
2. Toothpaste
3. An eraser and muscle (yes, I've done it myself)
