Hmmm, interesting. I'll have to see what a full set of Texas Hots would run. See, I'm more versed in humbuckers than single coils so there's a lot of single coils I'm not familiar with.
What I hate is when I haven't played my Strat in a while, I start tossing ideas like this around, then I pick it up and second guess everything. I like the SSL-6 in there now but I think it's a bit too hot for what I'm looking for now. I got it because I wanted a hotter bridge pickup that was flat poled like the mid and neck, which are still stock. But, now I'm getting back in to staggered poles, hence the Texas Specials being an option. I always loved their tone. I'll keeps the Texas Hots as an option as well.
