Seymour Duncan Firebird Antiquity questions...

So I'm looking at replacement pickups for a modern Custom Shop reissue of a Gibson Non Reverse Firebird with Firebird pickups in it...gold ones.

I've read a few things, and I want something that is more vintage correct than these stock Gibson pickups.

Just wondering about the SD Antiquities...I've read somewhere that the cases used for current Gibson Firebird pickups is a little larger than vintage ones, and the SD Antiquity Firebirds are made to exact vintage spec including the case dimensions. Does this mean that a SD Antiquity won't fit properly in my Gibson Firebird pickguard?

Secondly are they constructed exactly like the vintage Firebird pickups as illustrated in the image below:

ie. Doe they have the two magnets with windings around each side by side like an original Firebird pickup? I'm assuming this is how the Antiquity is constructed but I wanted to get it straight from the horses mouth :)

Cheers,

Re: Seymour Duncan Firebird Antiquity questions...

the antiquity II firebird pups are killer vintage type firebird pups. not lp deluxe style mini hums like the top pic. as far as I size, I don't think you have to worry. they should be fine

Re: Seymour Duncan Firebird Antiquity questions...

I can't speak to the construction as I haven't disassembled mine, but they are slightly narrower than the recent Gibson overwounds. As a result, they fit but have a little wiggle room and they tend to sit straight when you really need them to tilt a bit to match the strings.

Here's mine:
