Hi Guys,

I have an axe with the following specification and pickup configuration which i would like to seek for more opinion and input on the wiring upgrades:

Guitar: Edwards E-CL-S-VIII
Body: Alder
Neck: Hard Maple
Fingerboard: rosewood
Bridge PU: Seymour Duncan SP90-1B
Middle PU: Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Surfer
Neck PU: Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Surfer
Control: 250K Master Volume, 250K tone 1, 250K tone 2
Capacitor: 0.47

Not sure if its worth exploring for 500K pot instead. What's your thoughts?

Great pickup choices. The position in-between middle and bridge will sound very nice [emoji106]

250k should be fine?

Well, if you have a 500k pot, and some time, I'd explore. But I would think it would be just fine with 250k. I wouldn't bother exploring if you don't have an extra pot, or the time to switch it out (and back).

i bet that will be a great setup. 250k controls should be fine

Thanks for the input guys. I think i will go ahead with the 250k but swap out the 3 way switch to 5 way. Only issue i see is that the traditional single coil pickup does not seems to fit the routing which i should have checked before purchase. Gonna do some routing mod to get it in

Are you talking about the baseplate? If you did buy them in the US from an SD dealer, they might be covered under the 21 Day Exchange Program if you don't want to/can't modify the guitar.

Yeap its the base plate. Got the pickup from sweetwater. Already did a minor routing to fit that in. Will take note for my future order for my next axe.
