jeremy LoveMachineologist Staff member Dec 19, 2025 #4 really good sounding amps too, but kinda too far ahead of their time.
Ascension Well-known member Dec 20, 2025 #5 Yes her did and the shop I worked in back in the late 80's had several, plus we had a bunch of the modules. I played with them a lot and they were pretty cool. Haven't seen one of those amps in years, though. Here ya go

Mincer Administrator Staff member Dec 20, 2025 #8 I will say, I always liked the way these amps looked. And there was a full line, from combos to stacks.

The more conventional guitar amps had a hybrid preamp running one 12AX7. We had them also. https://bluebookofguitarvalues.com/guitar-amplifiers/manufacturers/seymour-duncan

jeremy LoveMachineologist Staff member Dec 22, 2025 #10 those other ones seem like some kinda hybrid. one 12ax7 tube sounds like a pi feeding the power tubes with a ss preamp like the musicman amps

Yes, they are hybrids. We sold them, and they sound decent, but IMO were nothing special.
