Seymour made amps?

All through the 80s, at least. They sounded really good, too. With swapable tube modules for different tones.

Yes her did and the shop I worked in back in the late 80's had several, plus we had a bunch of the modules. I played with them a lot and they were pretty cool. Haven't seen one of those amps in years, though.

I will say, I always liked the way these amps looked. And there was a full line, from combos to stacks.

Duncan also had a line of normal tube amps that were not bad, as well as bass amps. The more conventional guitar amps had a hybrid preamp running one 12AX7. We had them also.

those other ones seem like some kinda hybrid. one 12ax7 tube sounds like a pi feeding the power tubes with a ss preamp like the musicman amps

Yes, they are hybrids. We sold them, and they sound decent, but IMO were nothing special.
