"Seymourized" Stratocaster Pickups?

I recently found some pickups in a '78 Stratocaster that had some modifications done in the early 80's. They are black and have an oval sticker that says "Seymourized" and "Santa Barbra, CA 93103". The cool thing about them is that they're regular single coil pickups, but they measure at about 14K each! I was just wondering if anyone has a model number or any other info about them. I'm going to put them on Ebay on Wednesday. Thanks.

wow, nice find mate. Theyre most likely an early version of quarter pounders. What resistance do they read at?

Yep, them's QP's. A buddy of mine remembers putting them into his strat back in the early 80's as well. I wonder how they stack up against the current QP's.

... yep... the '82 catalog says they're SSL-4s...
