SH-1 vs. Gibson '57 Classic

I have seen the SH-1 described as a true, "bright", PAF sound. Is it really that bright? Does anyone know how it compares to a Gibson '57 classic/plus? Does an SH-55 fit in the picture? Thanks.

I think the Gibson 57 Classic might be brighter, or at least gives the impression of being edgier than the SD 59.

The SH-55 is smoother and sweeter than either.

Here...read the reviews: http://www.legendarytones.com

They're pretty much right on the money I think.

I had a set in my Les Paul...The C57B was in fact bright(Actually harsh)The C57N was woofy, overbearing, very strong with alot of output..Tonewise,the 59 in my opinion has it all over the C57s...Don't waste the extra money on these pickups..Stick with the Duncan humbuckers...
