SH-14 Custom 5 Vs SH-11 Custom Custom

I'm stuck between these two. One of them is going to be set in the bridge position and paired with the Alnico II Pro ASH-1 in the neck. These are going to be set in an Epi Les Paul Studio. Thanks for your thoughts

I really prefer C3 or C4 over CC (C2), but definitely prefer CC over C5.

I now have the Custom Custom in two guitars: My Hamer Monoco and a 80's MIJ Fender single humbucker Strat. I don't have a Custom 5 in anything anymore. I feel like I have to play to loud before the C5 starts to sound really good to me. Lew

Definetily the cc i have in my paul and its nice and with your a2p it should be the "****"

I just put an AII Pro in the neck of my Monaco with a Custom Custom in the bridge. I can attest, GREAT combo.

I'll bet! :beerchug: I use the Seth Lover neck with the Custom Custom in my Monoco. Also a great combo...

Well I found the CC to be quite thick in my LP. Almost muddy. But I still think it was better than the C5, at least there were more mids.

My happy day came when I made my CC/PG hybrid.

Custom Custom! I use mine in an Epi w/ A PG. Pretty close to the A2P. That combo rules!

CC is not my favorite pickup but i liked it much more than the C5 i had in my strat. I have to say though that i think the C5 is more suited to les pauls than strats...........

I just put a CC in my mongrel strat. Coupled with alnico II single coils it is a perfect combo. I have it wired with 250K pots (a master tone and master volume) and it is absolutely gorgeous.

I don't think this poll is very fair or accurate, or even logical. The custom custom is for bright instruments, the custom is for balanced / warm instruments.
