Re: SH-3 Stag Mag Pickups
Since when was 16.2k a measure of its actual output? It has as much resistance as a JB but sure doesnt have the same output. You should know this get real dude.
I knew as soon as I typed that, that I would get lots of flack, and I was immediately tempted to qualify my statement. But I also assumed that nearly everyone that understands about pup output would also understand what I was saying. I could be wrong about that.
Certainly I know that resistence alone is not an absolute measure of a pup's output. But it is a commonly used
approximate scale that everyone understands to an extent.
And in all fairness, I didn't say the StagMag was high output...I just said
I don't find it weak. I also don't find the Demon weak (only 10k) but I would say it acts like a PAF low output pup. That being said...the SM is
definitely higher
output than a typical PAF, and therefore, in my book, would not be considered "weak" by any stretch of the imagination.
Keep this in mind also whats weak to me might be high out put to you. To me a JB is a mid output pickup not high so a stag mag is low on my scale.
I've always been an advocate of..."to each his own". I would hope that you understand the same principle. Keep in mind that someone could have called you on your
factual statement...
"The stag mag is a bit weak in the bridge" (this can be very misleading to someone not familiar with it) which by your own admission really means something different to you than it does to someone else.
I've always respected your opinions, but you are starting to lose some credibility.
