sh-6 doing hair metal/hard rock?

Hey guys!

Ive been hearing mixed things about the distortion in an alder body but now a new question is can it do 80s hiar/hard rock type stuff? Such as Van halen, Maybe even a bit of blizzard of ozz (rhoads/ozzy), aswell as iron maiden?

Ive been recently hearing that people put the dd into an alder body and it was fine so im thinking of trying it out... Please any comments needed!

the DD was made for 80's rock!

but i think the JB is more suited for that stuff, it was pretty much a staple to have in the 80's!

For 80s metal I recommend one of the Customs or a JB.

You could make the DD work to. I like it a lot.

The DD, JB, Custom, and 59 are a must in every Metal guitar arsenal.

I've got the Distortion in my poplar bodied Charvel 650 and it nails the tones you're talking about.

Definately. I'd go with the JB first, and the C5 second.

george lynch used a distortion in his alder charvel and he played hair metal.

JB and Distortion are hair metal all the way. It more depends on your amp too but those pickups should get you closer at least.
