SH-6n in bridge position?

I was looking at the SH-6 as I wanted to try something with ceramic dynamics. But I’m not after something super high output. Would the SH-6n be suitable in the bridge position if I’m interested in ceramic tone in a more medium output pickup?

I've done that. It's a Duncan Distortion tone that's not as hot, would be the best way to describe it.

I've tried it too. It's alright. Kinda like a thined down Duncan Distortion with a little Custom thrown in.

I liked it. Didn't love it. I like the Duncan Distortion better. But for what you want, maybe you'll dig it. I'd say it's around the output level of a JB.

I have it in a strat and love it, super versatile in parallel with a push/pull pot, but i still have an Alt8 in the drawer.

I installed SH-7n to bridge position of my ibby RGD2127FX and it sounds very promising. More high end than custom but much more tamed output than distortion bridge. Have tried JB, distortion bridge and custom (ceramic, A8 and A5) in that guitar and distortion neck in bridge sounds best.

I think it's the SH-7B, rather. It didn't become a neck pickup until it got relabled SH-6N.

No, yeah, but what I meant was more that it was originally not meant to be a neck pickup.

I wonder what the right pairing would've been for it at the time. Jazz maybe?

My bad dude, meant SH-6n in 7-string version. That's on the bridge position of that ibanez. Neck pickup is heavily modded ibanez OEM.
