SH6 "Custom" Distortion (slanted ceramic magnets???) in BC Rich ST-III Retro 2

Saw this listed on the BC Rich site. It's also different with the dark logo and black hex poles. Not sure what "slanted ceramic magnets" would mean though. Either way, how to order this pickup? Seems like every couple of months I ask how to order a Shop Floor Custom and then basically told it will have to be a full custom shop order just for cosmetic differences.

Also does Duncan now sell single coil covers with the same blacked out logo?

Ridiculous. It used to be a shop floor custom for cosmetic things. Anything to pad the wallet, I guess.

Hard to tell if the blacked out single covers are something that is more widely available without directly asking. Sometimes a company specifies particular specs, and those are produced specifically for that company that requested it (they are buying a lot of them) in an exclusive OEM agreement. Both custom winds and custom cosmetics have been ordered by companies over the years.

No idea what a "slanted" ceramic magnet would be (I don't even think the Nighthawk pickups had fully slanted magnets?) But a Distortion with dual rows of hex heads I would expect to be ear-splitting super bright and super scooped. Could be the guitar is so dull and dark it benefits from that?

I bought a new original ST-III in that exact color back in the late '80s, first thing I ever bought on credit as it happens lol. Had a Dimarzio HB and an Ibanez Edge bridge on it, the OG had three mini on/off switches instead of the blade, killer guitar. I bought it because of Tony MacAlpine who I idolized because he had recently released "Maximum Security". One of the greatest instrumental albums ever recorded!🔥

Maximum Security is one hell of an instrumental album. I wish it wasn't slathered in reverb, but 'twas the time.

staggered ceramic magnet? i agree its probably a translation issue, but i dont think thats it
