SH6 v. Nazgûl in a Les Paul

Just threw this together at the behest of Aceman.

Anything for you buddy!

I didn't eq the tracks or anything just straight out of the amp.

First half is the SH6 in a 17 tribute Second half is Nazgûl in a 14 LPJ

Hahaha - really had to twist your arm on that!

First of all, both sound great. But I think I prefer the Nazgul to the Distortion.

The Distortion has a little more lower crispness I think, and the Nazgûl is a little fuller, a little fizzier, in a good way. I just like the Nazgul in the mix more.

I know they read similar on paper, but for full metal evil...I like the Nazgul. Of course, Distortion is never a bad choice...

I had some free time, so I just jumped on it.

I'll have to agree, in this mix, I also like the Nazgûl just a little better. I may play around with some more amp settings and see how it goes.

I've never heard anything (passive) that I have liked better than the trusty ol SH6! (Hard for me to even type those words)

But that's why we try new things.

(Of course I super-love the Black Winter as well, but I always think it literally is the same thing as the SH6...so I always justify that in my own twisted brain.)

Well I figured out how to make/sync video with Reaper!
I was able to add just a touch of the room mic as well. So this take gets a little more high end sparkle.

Edit:
added Blackouts to the video since I had a guitar over here with them in it.

I'm learning stuff! Yay for my old damaged brain.
