Shadow SHG Repair.

This might end up a fail but so far it's looking great.

All the pots died on the piezo so i needed to replace them all. Decided to go CTS and run some fly leads.

Hmmm not low enough for the cts pots and apparently finding 10/100k pots with a longer bushing was hard. So....

Fixed but still needs the final clean up.

The 3x10k and 1x100k cts pots ready

De-soldered most the pots joints

What a mission.

Re: Shadow SHG Repair.

Nice to see a Strine announce a refurbishment project and then carry it through to successful completion. :D

Re: Shadow SHG Repair.

Any chance of sound clips?

Decent demonstrations of the EQ5 humbucker are few and far between.

I don't have any decent recording stuff only a sony cam. I haven't tested the eq5 but i want to, I have my doubts about them for some reason.\\

Once i get it all finished i will see.

The eq5 seemed to have a earth buzz last night but now it hasn't so i will need to investigate that. It's been good having my brother here to help me with all his nice gear and skills.

I didnt get any pictures before i bolted it down and theres no way im touching it now. We already had a few old wires break from the board and it was made harder by having every piezo wire go to the same lug.

Well it's such a fun guitar i really wish it was mine. The eq5 is cool as.

I had a great idea. i thought it would be neat to run fly leads off the 7 trim pots and use decent large pots mounted into a pickguard strat style.
