I thought maybe we could share our typical amp settings? Could be fun, or benificial (is that spelled right?) for people with the same amps.

~Jazz Chorus 90~ hollow w/ humbucker
Input: Low
Distortion: 1
Volume:
Hi-Treble: 6
Treble: 7
Middle: 2.5
Bass: 4.5
Reverb: 2
Rate: 0
Depth: 0
Chorus: Manual

~Jazz Chorus~ SC
Input: High
Distortion: 0
Volume:
Hi-Treble: 4
Treble: 6
Middle: 6
Bass: 6
Reverb: 2.5
Rate: 0
Depth: 0
Chorus: Off
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The bucker setting is VERY powerful in the low end, strong midrange, and crisp highs. The SC setting is very well balanced and can benefit in variation by switching pickup positions. The SC is an awesome setting when used as an acoustic amp.
Re: Share your settings?
The problem with my settings, is they work for me.
I doubt listing them will do anyone any real good, unless they wanna play in a NWOBHM inspired band ...
Re: Share your settings?
i posted them a little while ago (well, posted it, i dont change the settings on my amp).
it actually helped someone get a nice tone!
Re: Share your settings?
Schecter C-1 Plus-->Ibanez TS7 Tubescreamer-->Distortion +-->Ibanez DE7 Delay/Echo-->Fender Hot Rod Deluxe
Since my amp doesn't have a separate EQ for clean and distortion, it's the same.
Songs that are mostly clean (and thus have a clean style EQ):
Volume: Whatever works, usually around 4 at band practice
Bass: 7
Mids: 5
Treble: 9
Bright Switch: Off
Reverb: 2 or 3
Songs that are mostly dirty:
Drive: Depends, usually 5
Master: Again, whatever works, usually 3 or 4
Bass: 6
Mids: 11
Treble: 7
Bright Switch: On (amp modded so that bright switch works in both channels)
Reverb: 1, maybe 2
Presence: 4 or 5
Gain: Full
Delay: Tiny bit, add to the fullness
Mids: Spiked like a spike
Lows: Zero (My Cube has overpowering lows even after turned completely down)
Highs: Enough to get good sizzle.
Re: Share your settings?
My current favorite settings, played into my Vox AD30VT;)
Crunch- UK 80s model (JCM800)
Gain-5
Bass-5
Mid-6
High-6
Nice, crunchy, chimey Alice in Chains/STP sound:D Sometimes use compression. My Paul sounds perfect.
Metal- UK Modern model (JCM2000)
Gain-8
Bass-5
Mid-7
High-7
Smooth, pantera type distortion... this setting is where my Schecter shines, but the Gibson sounds great too, of course:D
Clean- Fender tweed 4x4 model
Gain-4
Bass-6
Mid-5
Treble-6
A nice setting for the jag... equally comfortable with the Schecter's coil split. Tubular, surfy sound. I haven't even attempted to find a nice clean tone with the Paul yet... Not a big fan of clean humbuckers anyways.
