allright. I am working on this ash body'd ibanez strat. I replaced the terribly twisted neck for this lovely slightly flamed maple neck. Gotoh tuners and a wilkinson bridge.

But... What pickups to get?! I have these options.

Snakeskin PG with 2 cream singlecoils and 1 humbucker (jb, super distortion... Something like that)

Gold anodized PG with an alnico2pro in neck and a super distortion/jb hybrid in bridge. And a noname middle.

I am aiming for a versatile yet firebreathing monster.

I know that the pics are horrible but they are actually rather true to the colors...

Both are hideous. If I was gonna go that route I would just go all out and make it a hideous monstrosity.

That thing either needs to be relic-ed or Hello Kitty-ed. Plus, you got some routs hanging out there.

Might be passable with a black scratch plate, tho.

^^^ actually some scorch marks and finish bubbling might help that set up in a big way.

Maybe it's worth the few extra bucks to get a guard custom cut. A nice simple w/b/w should do the trick.

Oh those routs will be covered. I have a fitting PG but i hate that look. I prefer the strat guard. Its just abourt color matching now. The hole will be filled and refinished so you dont see it in the end.

Plain wbw or a Hello Kitty custom graphic. Then, on this forum, there is always the PUH option.

Except I hate shell pink.

Both are frickin hideous. abominations. mutant scum. genetically inferior. not quite sub-human, but definitely sub-guitar
