Shielding w/ Livewires

I was wondering if shielding is necessary when using Livewires or active pickups?:beerchug:

nah...those things typically have internal-sheilding. Pretty much dead-quiet.

Not really necessary, but shielding the electronics cavity anyway doesn´t hurt

I fully shielded my aria with the livewires and it is the quitest guitar I have. It certainly doesn't hurt to shield.

Yeah, what they just said.

Do you need to connect the bridge earth wire with livewires? This isn't necessary with EMG's.

OctiveDoctor the livewires schematics do show that you do ground to the bridge .

I wanted to try something different on a guitar I am building and thought I would try the metal livewires and was just wondering if I should be ordering up some shielding or not. I will shield the control cavities but doesn’t sound like I need to go much further.
